Available from version: 240

Overview

The autocorrect feature enhances the accuracy of user input by correcting spelling errors before processing by the Natural Language Understanding (NLU) component. This feature is customizable per project, allowing specific configurations and exceptions to be set according to the project requirements.

Key Features

  • Project-Level Autocorrect: Autocorrect can be enabled or disabled for each project individually.
  • Block-Level Control: Within a project, autocorrect can be turned off for specific blocks where precise user input is critical.
  • Custom Dictionary: Each project can maintain its own dictionary of words that should not be autocorrected.
  • Multilingual Support: Autocorrect is available for Polish, English, and German languages.
  • Import/Export Compatibility: Autocorrect settings and custom dictionaries are included when a project is imported or exported.

Configuration

Enabling/Disabling Autocorrect on ENV

Please refer to https://automate.help.sentione.com/docs/upgrade-tasks#12-enable-autocorrect

Enabling/Disabling Autocorrect

By default, autocorrect is disabled for all new projects. To change the autocorrect settings:

  1. Go to NLUs.
  2. Open any NLU.
  3. Go to Autocorrect tab.

Custom Dictionary

To prevent certain words from being autocorrected, add them to the project's custom dictionary.

Block-Level Autocorrect Control

Feature is available only for blocks with user input. If a particular block requires precise input without autocorrection:

  1. Open block settings.
  2. Turn off toggle "Enable autocorrect".

Importing/Exporting Projects

Autocorrect settings, including the custom dictionary, are preserved during the import/export process:

  • Export: When exporting a project, the autocorrect settings and custom dictionary will be included in the export file.
  • Import: Upon importing a project, the autocorrect settings and custom dictionary will be applied to the new project environment.

Usage

When autocorrect is enabled, all sentences sent to the NLU will be automatically corrected according to the project's settings before processing. This ensures more accurate understanding and responses.

Supported Languages

Autocorrect is supported for the following languages:

  • Polish,
  • English,
  • German.

Conclusion

The autocorrect feature is a powerful tool to enhance the accuracy of user inputs in your conversation flow system. With flexible project and block-level settings, as well as support for multiple languages, it offers a comprehensive solution for managing spelling corrections effectively.
